The start of the First and Second Division Men’s Football Championships has been postponed to October 30 instead of October 16, 2021.

Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) announced that the decision was taken on the basis of a resolution of its Executive Committee held on September 22, 2021.

It is said that the reasons for the change has come from the Second Division Championship which will be delayed and will have to provide two teams to advance to the First Division in the 2021/22 season.

The Second Division Championship kicked off on September 18 and has now been played in three games for multiple teams. One match remaining in the group stage, which will be played on September 30, 2021.

The first two teams in each group will receive a promotion ticket in the ½ while the two who will play in the final will be the ones who will advance to the first division of Rwanda Premier League.
