Sonia Mugabo, a fashion designer, will change her marital status from “single” to “married” towards the end of 2021. Mugabo, the founder and owner of Sonia Mugabo, one of Rwanda’s most well-known fashion labels, has lately become engaged to businessman Diego Twahirwa, and the couple is set to marry by the end of the year.
Mugabo, 31, is still overjoyed after Twahirwa, 34, proposed to her on September 9, and she can’t wait to walk down the aisle and tie the knot. The two corporate moguls are poised to become the next ‘power couple,’ uniting their business expertise as husband and wife under one roof.
The fashion designer and the proprietor of Gashora Farms, which grows and exports chili, have reportedly been dating for over a year but have kept their relationship quiet.
Mugabo, who has become a mental health advocate as a result of her own problems with depression, took to Twitter this week to share her joy at the prospect of marrying someone by Christmas. The founder of the ‘SM’ brand was responding to a post about Christmas being 100 days away as of September 16.
She tweeted, “By this Christmas, I’ll be @Diego Twahirwa’s wife,” as many others congratulated her on the microblogging app. Ange I. Kagame, the First Daughter, is among those who have congratulated her.
