In collaboration with AS Kigali, the Private Sector Federation (PSF) has organized a study tour to be held in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for Rwandan traders, which will take place between 20 and 24 October 2021.
AS Kigali will host Daring Club Motema Pembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the first leg of the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup to be held in Kigali on Sunday 17 October while the second leg will be held in Kinshasa on 24 October 2021.
Deus Kayitakirwa, Director of Communications, Advocacy and Labor Relations at the Private Sector Forum (PSF), said the visit will be aimed at showing Rwandan businessmen other opportunities that can be found in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“PSF represents the interests of traders and its responsibilities include expanding markets. We carry out a ‘trade mission’ or ‘business mission’ to promote trade investment in the countries we have a good relationship with” Said Kayitakirwa.
Kayitakirwa said the reason why they organized the trip in collaboration with AS Kigali was that its leaders are already traders and others who will accompany them will be able to support the team representing Rwanda in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“Well, its leaders are traders, when they go to play in those countries accompanying their team, they don’t only just go to watch the game, they also put on their business clothes, and then talk to their fellow traders in host countries” He added”.
One of the requirements for participating in this study tour is that you must be a trader who wants to expand your business activities.
You should also pay 100 thousand Frw for registering, and the money would help with travel from Kinshasa airport and everything else that will be done on the trip.
Registration will end on October 19 at 23:59 p.m. while the study tour will begin on October 20 from 08:00 to 24 October 2021.
